Sony TV HDMI 2.1 Port Not Displaying with MROCIOA HDMI 2.0 Switch

🔹 Problem Overview

  • Devices involved: Sony TV HDMI 2.1 Port + MROCIOA HDMI 2.0 Switch

  • Issue: Inserting the MROCIOA HDMI 2.0 switch into the TV’s HDMI 2.1 port results in no video display


🔧 Solution 1: Use HDMI 2.0 Port

  • Insert the MROCIOA HDMI 2.0 switch into a HDMI 2.0 port on your TV

  • This is the simplest solution for most users


🔧 Solution 2: Set HDMI Port Mode

  • Sometimes HDMI 2.1 ports are required, e.g., for ARC functionality or if other ports are occupied

  • Change the TV’s HDMI port mode: Settings → External Input → Standard Mode

  • This allows HDMI 2.0 devices to work properly on HDMI 2.1 ports
